This Week in CELPIP ·

This Week in CELPIP: October 4 to 10, 2026

A short look at what was new for CELPIP learners this week: from the official side, what other learners watched and read, and what changed on EnvolPrep. Every link opens the item in our CELPIP news feed, where you can see where it comes from and how far to trust it.

From the official side

  • A celpip.ca podcast on raising your CLB score (Official source). Listen before you plan your next attempt. Open in the feed
  • Recordings of the official Pro webinars for all four parts (Official source): Writing Pro, target 9+, Speaking Pro, Tasks 1-2, Listening Pro and Reading Pro. Each runs as a full class, so pick the part you find hardest first.
  • Still pinned: Ontario's Workforce Priority stream. If Ontario is your plan, read the official post on what it means for your language test. Open in the feed

Two myths, checked against the official Guidebook

We checked two things learners often ask about against the July 2026 Guidebook for Test Takers:

What learners practised this week

The most shared videos and guides were about:

  • Speaking: Task 1 (giving advice), Task 3 (describing a scene) and Task 6 (a difficult situation), plus full speaking simulations. Speaking in the feed
  • Reading: Part 4 (viewpoints) and full mock tests. Reading in the feed
  • Writing: planning the email task quickly, and why scores often stop at Level 8. Writing in the feed
  • Scores and immigration: comparing English tests for Canada PR, and what CLB 7, 8 and 9 mean for your plans. Scores and CLB in the feed

These come from teachers and learners, not from Paragon, so they carry the "Not checked" badge. A tip can be good and still not match the real test: when in doubt, check the official sources.

New on EnvolPrep

  • A page for every task: all eight Speaking tasks and both Writing tasks now have a guide with the timing, a structure and a sample answer with the AI review it got. Speaking tasks, Writing Task 1, Writing Task 2
  • A guide to CELPIP re-evaluation: when it is worth asking, how it works and how to ask, from the official pages. Open the guide
  • Feed links that open the task: a video about Speaking Task 5 now offers "Practise Speaking Task 5" and opens that task.
  • More careful AI reviews: a review that quotes words you did not write or say is asked for again, and quotes that are still wrong are left out.

Found something we missed?

Send it with "Suggest a link" on the CELPIP news feed. We read every suggestion before it goes up, and we never post real test questions.
