Our tests are designed to closely match the real CELPIP format in structure, timing, question types, and difficulty. We follow the official CELPIP format including the number of questions, time limits, and answer formats. Our tests are intentionally slightly more challenging than the real exam - if you can pass our tests comfortably, the real CELPIP should feel manageable.

When you submit a Writing response, our AI analyzes it across multiple dimensions: grammar and spelling accuracy, vocabulary range and appropriateness, coherence and organization, task completion, and tone. You receive a detailed evaluation with specific scores, strengths, areas for improvement, and actionable suggestions. The feedback is generated using advanced language models (GPT-4.1-mini or Claude Haiku) to ensure high-quality analysis.

For Speaking tests, the process is: you record your response using your device microphone, our system transcribes your audio using OpenAI Whisper, then the AI evaluates your transcription for fluency, pronunciation indicators, vocabulary usage, grammar, content relevance, and task completion. You get detailed feedback with specific improvement suggestions. The entire process takes about 10-15 seconds after you finish recording.

Free users receive 10 Speaking AI evaluations and 3 Writing AI evaluations per day. These limits reset at midnight UTC. There is also a platform-wide daily budget shared across all users. If you need unlimited evaluations, you can purchase a 24-hour unlimited pass for $4.99 CAD. Reading and Listening tests are scored instantly without using AI quota.

Currently, EnvolPrep offers Part 1 (Listening to Problem Solving) and Part 2 (Listening to a Daily Life Conversation). Part 1 features 3-conversation scenarios with 8 questions each. Part 2 features standalone conversations with 5 questions each. We are actively adding Parts 3-6 covering Information, News Items, Discussions, and Viewpoints.

Each Listening test begins with instructions describing the scenario and speakers. You then play the audio, which plays once (just like the real CELPIP). After the audio finishes, questions appear one by one with 30 seconds per question. You cannot go back to previous questions or replay the audio. For Part 1, this process repeats for each of the 3 conversations before you see your results.

No, the audio plays only once - this matches the real CELPIP exam format. In the actual CELPIP test, you cannot pause, rewind, or replay any audio. Practicing under these conditions helps you develop the focused listening skills needed for test day.

EnvolPrep works on all modern web browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. For Speaking tests, you need a device with a working microphone. We recommend using a desktop or laptop with Chrome for the best experience, especially for Speaking tests where audio recording quality matters.

Yes. Your Dashboard shows your complete activity history including all completed tests, scores, and AI feedback. You can review detailed results for any past test, compare your performance across sessions, and track improvement over time. The Dashboard also shows your daily streak and recent activity.

First, make sure you have granted microphone permission to the website in your browser settings. Try refreshing the page and clicking "Allow" when prompted. If the issue persists, try using a different browser (Chrome works best). Check that no other application is using your microphone. On mobile devices, ensure the browser app has microphone access in your device settings.

The Unlimited pass gives you 24 hours of unlimited AI feedback for both Writing and Speaking tests, starting from the moment of purchase. During this period, your personal daily limits are removed so you can submit as many responses as you want. Reading and Listening tests are always free and unlimited. Payment is processed securely through Stripe.

Yes, the core platform - including all practice tests, scoring, and daily AI feedback - will remain free forever. The optional Unlimited pass is the only paid feature, and it exists to cover AI processing costs for users who need intensive practice sessions.
