Community guidelines
EnvolPrep is a place where learners help each other. These rules keep it safe and useful.
1. Never share real test content
- Do not post real CELPIP questions, passages, prompts or topics, even from memory or in your own words. No "topics I got" lists.
- This includes content from any official or paid course. Share how you studied, not what was on the test.
- Sharing it can also break the rules you agreed to when you booked the test.
- Practice tests or questions written by users are not accepted yet.
2. No selling or ads in posts
- No paid services, coaching offers, consultant ads or links to them.
- No "guaranteed score", "guaranteed CLB" or "guaranteed PR" offers.
- No phone numbers, WhatsApp or Telegram links. The only ads on EnvolPrep are a few labelled CELPIP offers that we choose, never in posts.
3. Be honest about scores
- Share a score only if it is your own and real.
- Type the numbers, or share a cropped image of the numbers only. Never share a full score report: it shows your photo and personal details.
- Fake score reports are removed, and the account is banned.
4. Protect personal data
- Do not post anyone's name, email, phone number, address, photo, ID or application number. That includes your own.
- Use your nickname only.
5. Be kind
- No insults, threats, hate or harassment. Disagree with the idea, not the person.
- Many people here write in their second language. Be patient with mistakes.
6. Do not copy other people's work
- Do not paste official or paid material, or someone else's article.
- Link to it instead, and say in your own words why it helps.
7. Community answers are not immigration advice
- People here share their own experience. They are not lawyers or licensed consultants, and they may be wrong.
- For your own case, ask an authorized representative (see below).
8. You must be 16 or older to post
- Before your first post, you confirm that you are 16 or older and that you accept these guidelines.
Teachers and tutors
Teachers and tutors are welcome to help. Teacher profiles are coming later; this is how they will work.
- Posts stay free of ads: no prices, no "message me", no contact details, no links to paid services, and no "guaranteed score, CLB or PR" claims.
- No immigration advice. Only authorized representatives may give immigration advice for money.
- A Teacher badge is earned: after about 5 approved posts that learners found helpful, you can ask for it, and we grant it by hand.
- You tell us your teaching qualification, for example TESL Canada or CELTA. We do not check it, and the badge says so.
- A teacher may add one link to their profile. It shows with the label "This teacher offers paid lessons". There is no paid placement and no ranking by sales.
- Breaking these rules removes the badge and the link. Repeated breaches lead to a ban.
About immigration advice
- People here share their own experience. They are not lawyers or licensed consultants, and they may be wrong. Rules change, so check canada.ca for your case.
- In Canada, only these people may give immigration advice or help with an application for money or any other reward: lawyers and paralegals in a Canadian law society, notaries in Quebec, and members of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. Anyone else who does this, or offers to, breaks the law (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, section 91). Friends and family may help you for free.
- Never pay someone you met here for help with your application.
- Find out who can be an authorized representative (Government of Canada)
- Check a consultant on the College's public register
- Report a scam or fraud (Government of Canada)
What we do when a rule is broken
- We may hide or remove a post, hold your next posts for review, or ban your account.
- Serious cases, such as scams, fake documents or threats, can be reported to the authorities.
- When you are new here, a person reads your posts before they are public.
Report a post
- Use the Report button on any post. A person reads every report.
