Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using EnvolPrep ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. AI-Powered Evaluation

Important Notice: EnvolPrep uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology powered by OpenAI to evaluate your test responses. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your written and spoken test responses will be processed by OpenAI's language models and its Whisper speech-to-text model to provide feedback and scoring.
• Your test data may be transmitted to OpenAI's servers for processing. OpenAI's data usage is governed by their own privacy policy.
• OpenAI may use your responses to improve and train its models, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• AI-generated feedback is provided for educational purposes only and should not be considered as official CELPIP scoring.
• While we strive for accuracy, AI evaluations may contain errors or inconsistencies. You use the feedback at your own discretion.

3. Use of Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use automated tools to access the Service without permission

4. Your Posts

You can post tips, stories, links and answers ("your posts") once you are signed in, have a nickname and are at least 16 years old.

• You own your posts. You keep the rights you have in them.
• You give us a licence to show them. By posting, you let EnvolPrep host, store, copy, show and share your posts on the Service and in links to it (for example search results). This licence is non-exclusive and free of charge. It also lets us make small edits for layout or to remove personal data. It ends when your post is deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or that sit in backups for a short time.
• You are responsible for your posts. Only post what you have the right to share. Follow the Community guidelines.
• Your profile may show one self-promotional link only under the guidelines. Only a teacher with the Teacher badge may add one link, shown with a label that says the teacher offers paid lessons. Posts stay free of ads.
• We may remove posts and ban accounts. We can review, hide or remove any post, and suspend or ban any account, if we think it breaks these Terms or the guidelines. We do not have to explain every decision, but you can write to us about it.
• Posts are opinions, not advice. Other users' posts are their own views. They are not legal or immigration advice, and we do not check that they are correct.

Copyright notices

If you own the copyright in something posted here and think it is used without permission, email viktorbezai@gmail.com. Under the Copyright Act (sections 41.25 and 41.26), your notice must include:

• your name, address and contact details;
• the work you own and your rights in it;
• the link to the post;
• how the post infringes, and the date and time it happened.

When we receive a valid notice, we forward it to the person who posted the content and tell you that we did, or why we could not. We keep records that identify that person for six months, or for one year if you tell us you started a court case. We do not charge for this. We may also remove the post if it breaks our guidelines.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. EnvolPrep does not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI feedback accurately represents official CELPIP scoring
• Your test scores will improve through use of the Service

Our CELPIP news page collects links to other websites, videos and groups. We do not control or endorse them and are not responsible for their content. Summaries on that page are our own short notes, not the original text. For rules, fees and scores, trust only the official sources: Paragon (celpip.ca) and IRCC (canada.ca).

6. Limitation of Liability

EnvolPrep and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to test performance, data loss, or business interruption.

7. Intellectual Property

Apart from your posts, all content of the Service, including test questions, sample responses and educational materials, is owned by EnvolPrep or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Your posts stay yours, as described in section 4.

CELPIP is a registered trademark of Paragon Testing Enterprises, acquired by Prometric Canada in 2021. EnvolPrep is an independent test preparation platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Paragon Testing Enterprises or Prometric Canada. We use the CELPIP name only to describe the exam our practice material prepares you for. All practice questions and sample responses on the Service are our own work and are not official CELPIP test content.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Payments and Refunds

The Day, 7-day and 30-day passes are the only paid feature. Payments are processed by Stripe. If your payment went through but the pass did not work, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days of the purchase. We do not refund a pass that worked and was used.
