Free CELPIP practice: common questions
Start with the section you are weakest in, not the one you enjoy. CELPIP reports a separate level for each skill and gives no overall average, so your lowest skill is the one that decides whether you meet an immigration minimum. If you are not sure which is weakest, do one Reading set and one Writing task - those give you a score fastest.
A Reading part takes about 10 to 15 minutes and a Listening part about 10. A single Writing task runs 26 to 27 minutes like the real exam, and a Speaking task takes 1 to 2 minutes including preparation time. You can do one task at a time, you do not have to sit a full-length test.
Reading and Listening have no limit: take as many as you like, scored instantly. Writing and Speaking are free up to a daily AI feedback allowance, shown on those pages with what is left of it. When it runs out, those tasks pause until it resets.
No, and you never will for the practice itself. A free account by email or Google sign-in unlocks every section and saves your progress. There is an optional paid pass for more AI reviews: a Day pass ($4.99 CAD, up to 100 AI reviews in its 24 hours), a 7-day pass ($5.99 CAD) or a 30-day pass ($14.99 CAD), each up to 30 AI reviews per 24 hours. Practising is free forever without it.
Yes. Writing and Speaking responses come back with an estimated level per response, plus feedback on grammar, vocabulary, coherence and task completion. That estimate is a study signal, not an official result. To see what a level means for immigration, read our CELPIP score chart and CLB conversion page.
No. These are CELPIP-inspired practice materials created by EnvolPrep. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Prometric Canada or Paragon Testing Enterprises, who own and deliver the CELPIP test. We build to the CELPIP format Paragon publishes so the work transfers to test day, but our questions are our own and we cannot promise the match is exact.
Why this practice is free
Quality CELPIP preparation should not sit behind a paywall. EnvolPrep keeps every practice test free, with AI feedback up to a daily limit, so anyone preparing for Canadian immigration or citizenship can practise every day. There is no trial and no credit card required to begin.
The only optional extra is a paid pass for more AI reviews: a Day pass ($4.99 CAD, up to 100 AI reviews in its 24 hours), a 7-day pass ($5.99 CAD) or a 30-day pass ($14.99 CAD), each up to 30 AI reviews per 24 hours. It helps cover AI processing costs for heavy practice sessions. The practice tests themselves stay free, forever.
