Blogs give different answers about CELPIP re-evaluation. This page sticks to what celpip.ca itself says, and each section links to the official page it comes from.
The short answer
If a score is lower than you expected, you can ask for a re-evaluation. celpip.ca says:
- You can ask within 6 months of your test date.
- You can choose some or all of the four components: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
- You pay a fee when you apply. It depends on which components you choose.
- Each component can be re-evaluated only once.
- The request is final: you cannot cancel it after you send it.
- You get the result in about 1 to 2 weeks.

Which parts can change
Speaking and Writing are the parts a re-evaluation can realistically change.
celpip.ca says that a re-evaluation of Listening and Reading is unlikely to change your scores, because those parts are computer rated.

When the fee comes back
celpip.ca describes the refund in two slightly different ways. Its policies page says the fee is refunded for Speaking and Writing if your level goes up after the re-evaluation. Its results page says the fee for a component is refunded if that component’s level changes.

Is it worth it?
This part is our advice, not an official rule. A re-evaluation makes the most sense when a Speaking or Writing level is just below the level you need. If you are a level or more away, more practice and a new test date is usually the better use of your money and time.
Allow for the 1 to 2 weeks a result takes if you have a deadline, such as an Express Entry profile or an application to send.
